„Industrial Internet of Things Test Bed“
The Industrial Internet of Things Test Bed was designed as a state of the art smart factory to research and test drive leading edge IoT technologies in a manufacturing environment. The ramp up of the test bed is supported by various members and the IoT focus team of the Silicon Saxony e.V. The test bed at the University of Applied Sciences in Dresden covers a broad range of technologies to track shop floor assets, collect environmental information, build cyber physical systems, control machine states etc. It includes an automated production line, manual work places and a set of automation cells. The field trip gives an introduction to the setup and capabilities of the test bed. We will demonstrate various use cases for data collection, quality assurance, worker guidance and material tracking. This includes real time location services using different technologies to track and trace workers and materials in the shop floor, RFID based material tracking, data collection via IoT sensors, a pick by light with integrated marker less worker tracking, LiFi technologies to interlink machines and a cloud based visual inspection module.
