Interoperability for Industrial Internet of Things
Combination of many networked sensors, controllers and actuators to a big interworking automation system needs new paradigms of system design. Re-use and composition of pre-fabricated hardware-software-components on application layer is the only way for efficient design of such complex systems. Interoperability of all components on application level (OSI layer 7 and beyond including semantic interoperability) is the most important precondition. Contributions and presentations are welcome regarding standards, application specifications, semantic descriptions, gateways and adapters, component repositories, stores and marketplaces, tools for device discovery and selection, automatic binding and design, self-x etc..
