C3-Saxony participated in the European Emerging Industries Conference 2014

On 13-14 November the first European Emerging Industries Conference took place in Milan/Italy. C3-Saxony and its CIP partner projects have actively contributed to the conference programme.

The conference offered an opportunity for policy makers, entrepreneurs, SME intermediaries and other stakeholders to exchange views and ideas on innovations in the context of emerging industries and their potential in shaping Europe’s industrial renaissance.

The conference addressed, in particular, the following questions:

  • What are the current and upcoming trends and developments in emerging industries?
  • What can policy makers do and how can a favourable policy framework contribute to emerging industries?
  • What are the business support needs of entrepreneurs in emerging industries?

Together with its partner projects from France and Belgium, Health2Care and Nano4Health, C3-Saxony presented a conference session addressing clusters as brokers for emerging health industries.
