C3-Saxony innovation forum at Silicon Saxony Day 2014
On 3 July 2014, the Silicon Saxony Community got together for the 9th Silicon Saxony Day in Dresden. This event serves as the major meeting point of the Silicon Saxony e.V. members and representatives from high-tech industries, science, research and public institutions at the business site Silicon Saxony as well as of our European cluster partners from France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Austria.
This year, the Silicon Saxony Day was titled: "Microelectronics enables a digital world". The event provided a forum for presenting products and innovations as well as for exchanging and discussing concepts and sharing visions. There, global players as well as start-ups, politicians and researchers talked about trends of tomorrow. In addition to renowned keynote speakers, participants took part in interactive work shops and experienced a market place with ground-breaking technologies and products.
The EU funded project C3-Saxony used this forum to implement its first innovation forum titled "C3 IDEA LOUNGE". During a first Idea Call, project ideas were submitted by SMEs and research institutions located in Saxony. The C3 IDEA LOUNGE provided the possibility that project owners do not only present their ideas and project to the international Silicon Saxony Day Community but also to identify missing links in their own project and find partners needed to realize the ideas.
